In reality it had been a long week, starting with the Halloween feast. It hadn't taken long for Anya and Isabel to get back to the common room and get ready for the feast, leaving plenty of time for Isabel to relentlessly question Anya about George.
"Why does he have to be so aggravating?!" Isabel ranted, "I mean, I know that his twin was depressed because you were too crazy to say yes to him, but that didn't mean he had to bother me!"
"Okay, I'm not that crazy. I'm just too nice," Anya replied, plopping down onto a plump couch in the common room and opening the Daily Prophet, " looks like they still haven't caught Sirius Black," she c
Isabel was worried about Anya, she'd barely eaten since her encounter with those two knuckle heads in the dungeons and she'd spoken even less, and now Isabel couldn't even find her. Usually Anya would spend hours at a time in the library or hiding out in the girls' dormitory, but for some reason, she hadn't been in either place. How she could hide herself so effectively was a complete mystery. Isabel shook her head and continued looking, the castle wasn't that big and didn't have that many hiding spots, and she couldn't have gone too far. She hadn't gotten far when blondie stormed past, muttering something about filthy, girl stealing blood tr
Anya stared at him, more out of surprise than anything; she had definitely not seen this coming. She'd liked him since her very first voyage on the Hogwarts Express when he'd befriended her by letting her sit in with him, Fred, and Lee Jordan in their car. She was dying to say yes, that she wouldn't leave him, but Draco was still glaring at George like he wanted to curse him; she just couldn't bring herself to hurt him like that, and especially not in front of the guy who had just exploded a firework in his face and was trying to take her away from him; Anya just couldn't see how that would have a happy ending.

The first few weeks of school flew by without incident, for Anya the days were full of her friends, classes, homework, and more time with friends, particularly with Isabel and George; although now she was spending more time on her essay for potions which would earn her detention if she failed.
"This essay's going to be the death of me," she announced, banging her head on the table after four hours straight of working on it and getting nowhere.
"Really? That bad?" George asked, leaning over her shoulder and looking at what she'd gotten so far.
"Yep," Anya answered, her voice muffled by the desk.
"When was the last time you went out
"Welcome!" said Dumbledore, the candlelight shimmering on his beard. "Welcome to another year at Hogwarts! I have a few things to say to you all, and as one of them is very serious, I think it best to get it out of the way before you become to set on heading off to bed "
Dumbledore cleared his throat and continued, "As you will all be aware after their search of the Hogwarts Express, our school is presently playing host to some of the dementors of Azkaban, who are here on Ministry of Magic business. They are stationed at every entrance to the grounds," Dumbledore continued, "and while they are with us, I must make it plain that nobody
Moments later, the castle came into view through the sheeting rain. Students all along the train were pressed up against the glass, straining to see the school; Anya, Luna, Fred, and George among them, now that they had changed into their school robes. Soon after, the train came to a stop and they all piled out, all the older students years two through seven headed off to the carriages while the first years crowded around a giant of a man who was calling "Firs' years this way!" and leading them towards the boats that traditionally took all new students into the school on their first day. "I'd hate to be Hagrid, or a first year, on a night li
The train moved away from the station, steadily gaining speed as it went. Anya reached up and re-latched the window before taking the window seat next to George. "It looks like it wants to rain," she commented, gazing out the window at the stormy looking sky. The other two leaned over her and stared at the rapidly blackening sky. "That's funny," Fred commented, "the sky was perfectly clear this morning." The upcoming storm confused them all, but their puzzled thoughts were momentarily interrupted when a girl, who looked to be about the same age as the twin's sister Ginny, entered their carriage.
"Do you mind if I join you?" the girl asked i
The first day of September dawned bright and early, sending bright rays of light through the slats of the blinds in the bedroom, waking its only, and very tired, occupant. With a moan, she rolled over and attempted to go back to sleep only to be roused again, this time by her Godfather, "Time to get up sweet pea, don't want to miss the train do you?" with a sigh, Anya rolled out of bed and rummaged around her closet for a pair of jeans, a long sleeve t-shirt and a pair of black sneakers, there was no point dressing up just to get on the train. After she'd finally found her favorite pair of jeans and a comfy shirt, Anya walked over to the corn
